Altered Paper Mache Book

I made a jewelry box for my MIL's 70th birthday this month. I altered a paper mache book shaped box. I used Altered Emporium's beautiful kit Daffodil Day to decorate it.
The stamps are by Tim Holtz and SU!
I made the daffodil flowers out of crinoline fabric and dyed them with Dried Marigold and Peeled Paint Distress Ink Reinkers.

Embossing!

This week at Simon Say Stamp and Show some embossing! It's been awhile since I blogged! I've been so busy out in the yard and my gardens I haven't created much lately. Here is my tag for the theme this week.
I'm making a collection of tags with photos of Jeff and I and of photos of us when we were younger for a display at our wedding reception next year. Instead of making a digital slide show I thought I'd make a bunch of tags with photos on them and hang them on a line kinda like this:
After the wedding I'll put them all in a book using Tim Holtz's 3 ring binder.
I used the Vintage Wallpaper SU! embossing folder on the tag. The stamp is a Tim Holtz one that fits perfectly in the TH small hearts movers and shapers sizzix die. The border punch is a Martha Stewart one. I inked the edges of the cardstock with Milled Lavender Distress Ink.
