Impressionist Garden

I made 2 projects this week as part of Beth Rimmer's creative team. The kit is called Impressionist Garden and it's so beautiful! First I made a desk calendar:

I got this fabulous idea from the talented Linda on her blog the funkie junkie
I made it with Beth's papers that I printed onto cardstock. I inked the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink. The main calendar part was cut out using the Top Note Sizzix die(SU) and my Bigshot. I cut out the butterflies from the kit and added Stickles Star Dust glitter glue to them. I added a metal clip (Tim Holtz) to easily change the month.

I used Addicted To Love ATC's by Beth Rimmer for my February calendar:

I used Christmas Red Stickles on the tiny hearts. I inked the edges of this month with Barn Door &Tea Stain Distress Inks. Here's a close up:

To make the calendar frame:

I used a paper from  L'Esprit du Cirque to make the calendar frame. I taped it to a piece of thin cardboard and used Walnut Distress Ink on the edges of the cardstock. The stamp is a Tim Holtz stamp. So everytime I change the month I can read this great quote. Here is the back of the calendar:
I got the back calendar idea from Linda to print it on vellum. Next year I can slide it out from under the clips and put the new year in. I used a piece of lace ribbon to keep the calendar upright:
I also made some Thank You Cards with Beth's Impressionist Garden

I dry embossed the paper using Backgrounds 1 Stampin' Up! Texturz Plates under the buttons and the black cardstock using my Bigshot. The stamps are from Stampin Up.

The friends that I'm going to give these to, love purses Thanks for looking!

Simon Says Stamp and Show ... Some Polka Dots!

This week at Simon Says Stamp and Show ... Some Polka Dots! http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/2011/01/simon-says-stamp-and-show-some-polka.html
I used a polka dot cuttlebug embossing folder on the pink cardstock. The stamps are from
Stampin Up. I'm going to give this to one of my friends for her birthday.
Today I also finished my Cycling log book.
I needed a log book for the miles I bike in the morning before work. I printed off Beth's papers from Gypsy In My Soul onto cardstock. I used the Tattered Florals Sizzix die to make the flowers. Some of the flower layers are elements from the kit cut out by hand. I inked the edges of the flowers with Rusty Hinger Distress Ink, the leave's (cut from the Tattered Leave Sizzix die) edges Inked with Forest Moss Distress Ink and the edges of the base cardstock with Tea Dye Distress Ink. I also used Star Dust Stickles Glitter glues on flowers.

Your newest Stamp!

This week Simon Says Stamp and Show ... Your newest Stamp! For Christmas I received the stamp set Odds & Ends by Tim Holtz. I used the number stamp on my 2010 album cover I made.

The 2010 paper is a digital paper by Studio Rosey Posey that I printed on cardstock. The other cardstock is Lost & Found by Jen Allyson. I used my Distress It All on the cardstock edges and inked them with Weathered Wood Distress Ink.

There is the Tim Holtz stamp I used with Weathered Wood Distress Ink. I covered the bookplate (Tim Holtz) opening with Crystal Effects Glaze.

I used D-rings by Tim Holtz. I need to pick up more scrap page plastic covers, I ran out.
Here's the back cover, also using Lost & Found by Jen Allyson:

GC82: Spicy Supply Challenge - White Glitter

Now that the Christmas projects are now over I'll have more time to join in on all the challenges that I didn't get to! This one is for GC82: Spicy Supply Challenge - White Glitter over at Gingersnap Creations http://gingersnapcreations.blogspot.com/2010/12/gc82-spicy-supply-challenge-glitter.html
I used the white glitter on the flowers I made. I used the Tattered Florals and Tattered Leaves dies by Tim Holtz to make the flowers.

I also used Crackle Distress paint in Picket Fence on the frame to make it look aged. I made 3 different frames for a couple of friends. I also made a purple one and a pink one.

I've been slow on posting to my blog over this holiday season so here are the rest of my 12 Tags of Christmas inspired by Tim Holtz:

This one was just for fun. I really like the tree by Penny Black and had to use it again.

I was inspired by this blog
http://studio490art.blogspot.com/2010/12/its-mini-gift-envelope.html to make gift card envelopes for Christmas gifts.

I used Tim Holtz stamps and a few Stampin Up stamps one these.
And lastly I finished my 365 Album for 2010!! It was a huge accomplishment for me, and I look forward to working on this years!
Sorry about the long blog entry! Thanks for looking!!
Happy Stamping and Scrapping!!
